Reading time: 4.25 1,050 words Hey Reader, I’m gonna need a pinny, a handmade hazel basket, and a pilgrim bonnet. Plus ample tea and cake. Because when it comes to gardening your way out of existential dread, there is a GODDAM AESTHETIC AND I WANT IT. Look. We can sit and wring our hands about the dystopian headlines that keep flying at our faces like unwanted dicpics or we can get productively angry and plant a garden. I’m lucky enough to have vegetable beds and whenever I feel The Creeping Dread touch my toes with its slimy little fingers, I take myself outside and tend to my peas, beetroots, and courgettes. Cos nothing says “hope for the future” like planting a garden. If you’re feeling low: create something. Now. Urgently. (h/t to Ash Ambirge) Feeling lost and untethered? I hear ya, friend. It’s a slimy feeling. The answer? CREATE SOMETHING. The world tells us not to create. That to create something wonderful is frivolous. That we must PRODUCE at all times. For why? (Rhetorical question, I know why. It’s so we can keep the techbros in endless supplies of expensive-yet-tasteless tat for them to show off to their expensive-yet-tasteless buddies) Plant that garden. Paint that picture. WRITE THAT BOOK. And if the third thing on this menu is on YOUR menu, I can help with that. MicroBook Magic Season 8 kicks off on April 27, and the doors are creaking closed at 5pm today. If you’re ready to channel your feelings into a book that could change everything for you, let me tell you about MicroBook Magic. Some of the best, most valuable books I’ve read have been bite-sized lessons I instantly loved. Some of them have been tiny. Some, micro. It’s not the size that matters, baby; it’s the message. To me, a MicroBook comes in at 100 pages or fewer. Maybe 15-30,000 words. A single deep-dive into an idea or message you want to share — a quick way to make a fast connection with the type of person you want to connect with. Not shallow; but rather than deep and wide, deep and narrow. So what is MicroBook Magic? With MicroBook Magic, you will:
With MicroBook Magic you will NOT:

Two of my recent MicroBook Magic authors had their books shortlisted for the Business Book Awards this week. There are 68 books on my shelves — micro and not-so-micro — because their authors had enough of their procrastinating and got in touch with me. Sophie Lee published her book Beyond Palatable last month and sold THREE TIMES more copies in that first month than most authors do. Samantha Harman’s book Just Get Dressed is off to the printers in the next couple of days. Where’s your book? I know it’s going to be good because you have brilliant ideas in your head and they deserve to be written down and bound. You’ve got until 5pm today — don’t miss out.
