Reading time: 1.21 318 words Hey Reader, I’ve just heard that THREE of my authors are shortlisted for the Business Book Awards and this is actual footage of me reacting to that news. MASSIVE congratulations to Laura Chamberlain for Brilliantly Bouncy and Janine Coombes for The Easy Yes, both in the Short Business Book category. And massive congrats to Ekua Cant for Your Platform Power, in the Business Self-Development category. Honorable mention and endless cheerleading to Sophie Blackmore whose book It’s Only Bloody Marketing is a thing of beauty and wonder. She put herself forward for the awards and then cheered on her friends because we are fairy lights and we shine brighter when we all shine together. Honestly I am so proud of all of my authors but to see their books shortlisted for awards is something else. I am SO proud to have been a part of their journeys. Look at what we can create when we move together! And yeah, I’m DEFINITELY going to mention — Laura and Janine and Sophie all wrote their books inside MicroBook Magic. Those books would not be here at this time, in this way, without MicroBook Magic and the group who came together inside it. So if a book has been on your vision board for 2026, if this has been something you’ve been longing to do for ages, get the flipping heck on with it because we have only one wild and beautiful life and if you REALLY want to do something you deserve to do it. There will never be a “right time.” You will never feel “ready” or “confident enough.” That’s not the secret. The secret is deciding to do the thing you want so badly to do, and starting. And I would love to help you. Season 8 of MicroBook Magic starts on April 27. There are only 2 VIP spots left. A handful of regular spots.
TTFN, Vicky 🫡 p.s. The doors close at 5pm tomorrow. But I’m hosting a free masterclass with Sophie Lee, Yinka Ewuola, Samantha Harman, and Amy Turnbull called “So you want to write a book?” on Monday — if you come along to that, then decide you want to join MicroBook Magic, I’ll let you sneak in. You can join the workshop here. p.p.s. Know someone who might enjoy this email? Please forward it to them and get them to sign up here.

Because when it comes to gardening your way out of existential dread, there is a GODDAM AESTHETIC AND I WANT IT. Look. We can sit and wring our hands about the dystopian headlines that keep flying at our faces like unwanted dicpics or we can get productively angry and plant a garden. I’m lucky enough to have vegetable beds...

This, my friend, is...
