Every month I’m celebrating some of my clients

February is wrapped up in a bow and I wanted to give a huge shout out to my clients.

​Laura Chamberlain got an offer for a book deal with a BIG name publisher! We’ve been working on her new book for a few months now and I can tell you, the academic world is in for a TREAT.

​Caroline Buist my wonderful VA sent her book to me for typesetting, which is currently underway — and I’m so proud of her!

​Yinka Ewuola has handled an absolute TON of nonsense with wisdom and grace while continuing to support incredible women to make more bloody money.

​Sophie Lee spent the month planning and organising her book launch tour AND a full day Unapologetic Voices Marathon, which happened yesterday and was bloody brilliant (of course it was). Pre-order her wonderful book Beyond Palatable here.

​Sarah Silva and Sally Evans have consistently showed up in my Power Hours and made progress on their books, which they started in MicroBook Magic Season 7 last year.

​Sylvie Frankel has said YES, NOW IS MY TIME and pressed the GO button to start writing her book, which is going to be so exciting and SO NEEDED.

​Wendy Gannon has also said YES, NOW IS MY TIME and we’ve started working on her new book and it’s going to be beautiful.

​Samantha Harman hosted one of the most fun and insightful events I’ve been to in Oxford to celebrate the pre-launch of her upcoming book Just Get Dressed and it was all wonderful.

​Sophie Blackmore and Laura Chamberlain came to talk to my Solihull students about their books (It’s Only Bloody Marketing and Brilliantly Bouncy) and their writing and publishing experiences. They were both wonderful, the students loved them, and I was reminded of how lucky I am to work with such brilliant people.

My students at Solihull College stepped right out of their comfort zones at the end of February and not only wrote their book bios, but they owned their brilliance and wins. Every single one of them found this so hard, and I have so much to say about that, but they stood up and said they wanted to change their attitudes to themselves, then they took the first step. I’m very proud of them.

I’ve had some cool wins, too. Here are the highlights.

• I started working with Charelle Griffith to do proper annual business planning. It’s way past time for this to happen and I’m really proud of myself for stepping up and levelling up.
• I spoke at Samantha’s The Gathering event in Oxford. I’m really proud of this because I stepped in last minute when someone else couldn’t make it. The conversation we had was wonderful, and I made some brilliant new connections and found a new client.
• I got into my wardrobe (with Sam’s help) and sorted a bunch of clothes I’m going sell on Vinted (and I’m going to have so much fun with the photos and the product descriptions).

I know that might feel hard right now, with the world being run by old white men so desperate to keep from prosection over the most heinous crimes done to children and women, that they have literally started a war to distract us. Keep your eyes on the positive things that people are doing in the world. Do the work in your local communities: connect with people, look after each other, do not expect those currently in power to take care of us because that does not further their interests.

Look at the good things YOU are doing in your life and your business, and keep doing them.

The tiniest things make a difference. The tiniest actions can make huge shifts. There is more good in this world than evil.
