Reading time: 1.00 235 words Hey Reader, As you read this, I’m halfway to Solihull College to lead an 8-week “Write Your First Nonfiction Book” Bootcamp. The reason I’m sharing this is twofold. Firstly, I’m really proud that I get to do this! One of my clients had a launch party for her book, and one of her guests works for the college. As soon as we met, she asked me to be involved in one of their projects — and I said yes. Because when we say yes to exciting things, exciting things happen. Secondly, this is what writing a book and making yourself more visible can do for you. If I hadn’t written six of my own books, and spoken on stages and podcasts, and attended my clients launch events, I would never have had this opportunity. I doubt I’d have been asked if I wasn’t an author myself. Books are magic. I’ll keep saying it until the heat death of the universe. Not just because they’re the closest thing we have to time-travel and mind-reading (although they are) but because they open doors for us that we didn’t even know were closed. So, a three-part question for you today.
I’d love to hear the answer to all three of those questions. Drop me a reply and let me know. TTFN, Vicky 🫡 p.s. Know someone who might enjoy this email? Please forward it to them and get them to sign up here.

Wanna see it? It’s up on YouTube now. You can watch it here. I don’t only do stand-up comedy, I’m also a great event speaker and I’m looking for stages to speak on — do you know anyone running an event I should speak at? Please introduce me! My topics include: Why writing a nonfiction book will...

I snorted, clapping along as the Morris Dancers jingled around the village square, waving hankies and bowing. I don’t know why, but Joe’s afraid of Morris Dancers. He says they’re “fundamentally untrustworthy” but can’t explain why. Our local Morris Dancers practice in our village hall, 200m away from my house. I might join. Partly because I love anything to do with dancing, partly because...

My mother made me wear it aged approximately four years, on our summer holiday in Betws-y-Coed. She paired this horror with slippy sandals for picnicking and messing around by the river, thus ensuring my inability to leap from rock to rock like the gazelle I clearly was. This is my first memory of dying. There were many more. Cause...
