Hey Reader,

Terrifying things I have done:

🧯 Starting a business after getting fired. (And letting go of that shame.)

😷 Swerving my business and going ALL IN on the thing that makes my heart sing… during a global pandemic.

💍 Saying YES to Joe after I’d already failed at marriage once.

👻 Saying YES to a client who asked if I could ghostwrite a book for them, when I had never done that before (and now it’s what I do!)

📚 Writing every subsequent book since — and actually finishing and publishing them and putting them where PEOPLE WITH EYEBALLS might see them.

🤡 Getting up on stage and doing a stand-up comedy set. Then again and again and again.

I know writing a book is scary.

I’ve done a lot of scary things. Made a lot of terrifying decisions — and they were the best decisions I ever made.

You already know you want a book out there with your name on.

Maybe you’ve already started it!

But when it’s out there with your name on, people might see it, right? They might not love it. They might not love YOU.

IT’S SCARY.

But the fear is GOOD; it means you care and it can spur you onto greatness, and the only time fear is bad if you let it stop you doing something that matters to you.

Let me support you through the fear because I promise you, never doing the thing you desperately want to do is far worse.

Let’s get this book done. Starting with a Book Breakthrough: Unlocked session.

In one 90-minute intensive coaching call, we’ll:

  • Nail down your Big Idea so you can explain your book in one clear, confident sentence
  • Map out your reader journey - who they are, what they need, and how your book will transform them
  • Create your rough book structure so you know exactly what to write and in what order
  • Identify and demolish the specific mindset goblins that are keeping you stuck
  • Get you writing-ready with a clear plan you can actually follow

You’ll complete a detailed questionnaire before our call so we can dive straight into the meaty stuff. Then we spend 90 minutes together on Zoom getting you unstuck and crystal clear.

You leave with:

  • A one-page book blueprint you can reference every time you sit down to write
  • Clarity on your book’s core message and structure
  • Confidence that your idea is actually bloody brilliant
  • The ability to START WRITING instead of endlessly “planning”

And we’ll get together again a month later for a 45-minute follow-up session to answer any questions, make sure you’re on track, and give you another gentle push.

Investment: £1,450

This is for writers who are DONE with procrastination and ready to get their book out of their head and onto the page.

So when I went to gymnastics this week, my plan was mostly to stretch and not move around too much because that room was approximately the same temperature as the surface of the Sun. But I did want to do a couple of somersaults into the foam pit because I’d been away for a couple of weeks. You need to keep doing them otherwise it gets scary again. Taking a run-up...

I was about 14 years old, I guess, wearing my uniform of denim jacket, tassled skirt, purple Doc Martens, baggy top, and “am I doing this right” smile. I was also sporting the remnants of an unfortunate curly perm. GOD, WHAT WAS I THINKING! Then, as now, I was wishing for hair I did not have and would never be able to achieve. Some things never change. Other stuff does, though, like my...

Reading time: 0.40 156 words Read this email in your browser Hey Reader, I spent this weekend doing a fancy jigsaw and reading a book in my parents’ garden, and I rarely do this amount of chilling. This is what it taught me: Ha, just kidding. No brotivation here. Just chilling. Although I did get up this morning without worrying about literally everything and instead thinking How can I be a little bit better today than I was yesterday, and a little bit better tomorrow than I am today? Just...
